The location of this laundry room, next to the family room and just off the back door made it so important that it look visually pleasing. The storage is open and accessible within the laundry room. A very narrow wooden shelf directly above the washer and dryer is a great place for lost buttons. In addition the walls are covered in bead board with pegs above to hold jackets, etc. The larger shelf unit above the washer/dryer has one fixed shelf above and two adjustable shelves below that are hidden behind a curtain.

The sink is mounted on a shelf attached to the wall. This arrangement allows for buckets or newspaper recycling under the sink.

Above the sink is a hanging rod. It is attached to the right of the shelf allowing clothes to drip dry into the sink.

The former closet was turned into a multitasking area. Above on fixed shelving is a pantry. In the middle is a nice sized folding area. Below that is a fixed shelf sized to hold a laundry basket. On the floor the shoes and boots are kept.

With space found in the wall facing the family room there is a shallow closet. The closet is designed to hold a broom, mop, grilling utensils, etc, all behind an attractive door.
