This older home in Bernardsville had a family room added on to the existing kitchen. As a result they had a nice big room but the space had lost its' "old house" personality. The design, an archway that divides the room, adds architectural interest, but does not block the view.

Beadboard was continued along the wall at chair height, to create a cozy eating nook for the family.
